Farm Diversification Into Bra Business On BBC Look North

Farm diversification featuring Sally & the AmpleBosom bra and lingerie business on BBC Look North.

Did you see us on BBC Look North, celebrating 25 years of farm diversification?

In December we were delighted to welcome the BBC and presenter Adam Powell as they filmed for their farm diversification segment on BBC Look North (North East & Cumbria) to be aired on 2 January 2024 at 6.30pm.

If you pop over to iplayer you can see Sally and the farm/AmpleBosom HQ from 9 minutes and 42 seconds in to the evening news programme.

Recognising the importance of farm diversification to the rural economy, BBC Look North recently visited our 220 acre working farm in Old Byland.

At AmpleBosom we not only help women of all shapes and sizes to feel their best, but we also run a fully operational farm and six stunning holiday cottages that we welcome guests to all year round.

For 25 years Sally has been pioneering farm diversification, creating a space on the family run farm, where our specialist team can offer bra advice & recommendations and help women to feel their best every day.

Our experienced team offer customers from all over the world, a vast online collection of bras, underwear, nightwear, cup size swimwear and lingerie.

Back in 1999 Sally founded AmpleBosom after being shocked by how difficult it was for one of her employees to find a nice bra for her wedding day. The business was initially a mail order company supplying plus size bras and lingerie.

Today AmpleBosom, caters for women of all shapes and sizes and has expanded to offer customers worldwide a vast online collection of underwear, nightwear, cup size swimwear and lingerie from the world’s leading brands.

Our bras and lingerie range from 28 to 58 back sizes and AA to N cup sizes, with bra and dress size swimwear and nightwear in sizes 8 to 30.

Sally says, ‘We are incredibly proud to have been able to successfully diversify our farm through AmpleBosom, helping women everywhere to feel comfortable and confident, and through our holiday cottages, which allow the public to visit the
beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Diversification has been essential in aiding the long-term future of our farm and being innovative is what has kept us going for 25 years, and we are thrilled to be able to welcome BBC Look North to showcase what we do!”

It was indeed a pleasure to have the BBC here to highlight the importance of farm diversification, old and new.
