Which Breast Shape Am I?

Advice on bra styles to suit different breast shapes from our bra specialists.

Which breast shape am I? This is an important question when you are looking for a comfortable and well fitting bra.

We all have different shaped breasts and recognising which breast shape you are can help you get the right bra that fits your shape.

Breast Shapes

Have a think about what your breast shape is when you are not wearing a bra. Do you have one of the following breast shapes? We can categorise breasts into certain shapes.

  1. Full Breasts - Breasts are equally full at the top and the bottom.
  2. Shallow and Slender Breasts - Breasts are slimmer at the top and fuller at the bottom. With the potential to be longer than they are wide.
  3. Close Set Breasts - Narrow or no space between the breasts.
  4. Wide Set Breasts - Wide space between the breasts.
  5. Asymmetric Breasts - One breast is larger than the other. This is not uncommon. We have put together a few helpful tips if you have breasts that are different sizes.
  6. Tear Drop Breasts - Rounded breasts but a little less full at the top.

Once you recognise which breast shape you are, you can try a bra style that suits that breast shape. There are lots of different styles of bras available. To make sure your bra is as comfortable as possible, it’s important to choose a style that suits your shape and size. Our bra style guide explains the different features and benefits of the wide range of styles we offer.

Bra Styles To Suit Breast Shapes

Here we have picked out some bra styles that suit different breast shapes.

  1. Full Breasts -  A full cup bra encapsulates the whole breast and will avoid cutting across the fullest part of the bust. Also try a fuller coverage bra which gives greater coverage and support.

Full Cup Bras

2. Shallow and Slender Breasts - Try a padded bra or padded half cup bra which will help make the bust look more rounded.

Padded Bra

Or try a balcony bra to help lift from the side to give a non-padded boost.

Balcony Half Cup Bra

3. Close Set Breasts - Try a side support plunge bra as the narrow set wires and low centre fronts make plunge frames more comfortable for close set breasts.

Plunge Bras

Or try a soft cup bra for comfort.

4. Wide Set Breasts - Try a side support bra with added side support that helps give great forward projection to wide set breasts. Or try a balcony style bra which will provide uplift and a rounded shape.

5. Asymmetric Breasts - Moulded style bras can conceal the difference in size between breasts by providing an even rounded profile as can padded bras.

Moulded Bra

For a non-moulded alternative choose a bra with stretch elastics at the neck edge which will hug the breast to help them look more even in size.

Have a read of our bra advice blogpost for tips when breasts are not the same size.

6. Tear Drop Breasts - Try a moulded style as this will build a little fullness in the top of the breasts.

Moulded Bra

Or try a padded half cup bra to lift and reshape.
