What Are Sister Bra Sizes?

A new bra not fitting could be down to a different brand, a different style of bra, or even a different manufacturer. Any of these reasons may mean you need to try on a different size than your usual size.

This is where sister sizes come in! These are the sizes that surround your usual bra size, and it can be useful to try these sizes on when your usual size isn’t giving you the correct level of support and comfort.

Size Chart For Sister Sizes For 28 Bra Band Size Based On UK Sizing

Check out our size chart below which is based on UK sizing to find your sister sizes. You can either size down, if the bra you’re trying on feels too loose, or size up if the bra you’re trying on feels too tight.

How to Find Your Sister Bra Size

When you’ve identified your current bra size on the chart, you’ll find sister sizes to size up and size down. You can choose which one to try on depending on whether your current bra feels too tight or too loose.

Our general advice is this: if you go up in band size, you may need to go down in cup size. If you go down in band size, you may need to choose a higher cup size.

Please note that this is just a guide. Sister sizing can be quite complicated and you may need to adjust both the cup size and the band size to get the best fit. Sister sizes can be other sizes that surround the initial size. Take a look at our example chart based on UK sizing.
